Apalachicola National Forest – Rivers Road Trailhead

Enjoy mostly single-tract dirt trails and the gently rolling Munson Hills on either the red, yellow, orange or blue trails. From 1 ½ to 3 hours, depending on the trail. The equestrian trails are marked with painted metal markers on the trees. There are also multi-use trails (pink and orange) that are marked with paint blazes directly on the trees. Note: Hunting is permitted. Please check the local hunting schedule.
Directions from Tallahassee: Go 1.2 miles south of Capital Circle on Crawfordville Hwy. Turn right (west) on Rivers Road (there is an old abandoned building immediately before you turn right on Rivers Road) and go to the end of pavement and park under the power lines.Directions from Crawfordville: Take either Hwy. 61 or Hwy. 319 north. Rivers Road is the first road on the left past the Hwy. 61/319 merge (there is an old abandoned building immediately before you turn left on Rivers Road) and go to the end of pavement and park under the power lines.
