This greenway consists of 160 acres and has a large equestrian parking lot. There are 3 miles of mowed trails with lots of side trails for diversity. A trail map is available at the kiosk at the trailhead. The terrain is flat and consists of open areas and wooded areas. One section follows a railroad track but there is plenty of foliage and a fence separating riders from the track. Another section weaves among a live oak hammock which is very picturesque. There is also a section that contains an area where dirt was taken for some purpose, and it allows for “hill” work. There are lots of things to explore on this greenway and it is well worth a visit. There is a port-a-potty and picnic tables at this trail head.

Directions from Tallahassee: Take US 90 East to Buck Lake Road. Turn right and continue to Baum Road and turn right again. Trailhead is about 1/3 mile on the right. OR take I-10 East and exit on US 90 for Monticello. Continue on US 90 to Baum Road and turn right. At the 4-way stop for Buck Lake Road, go straight about 1/3 mile to trailhead on the right.

Directions from Crawfordville: Take Capital Circle East to Tram Road and turn right. Turn left at W.W. Kelly Road and go north to Apalachee Parkway. Cross the Parkway and take a right at the 4-way stop at Capitola Road. Continue and take the second left onto Baum Road. After crossing the railroad track, look for the trailhead on the left.
